I appreciate a lot of what you say, but will trouble it a little with a few thoughts:
1) A reactionary Hindutva politics of bodily sovereignty and purity have also been exported through the globalization of yoga, mixing with and adding to similar body fascisms of Europe.
2) Indian modernizers of global yoga explicitly did not convey the warning you mention to their new market. They were entrepreneurs. "Health is Wealth, Yoga shows the Way", as Kuttan Nair said, quoting Sivananda. Many of these men also abused their students.
3) This article does not blame yoga, but rather tries to elucidate a cognitive dissonance many find confusing.
