That Sneaky QAnon-Flavoured Post in Your Yoga Group
You can tell by the keywords. This isn’t going away.
This past week, the above meme was posted to a very large yoga teachers’ group on Facebook.
I do not consent to any energies, powers, words, spells, frequencies, or agendas which are not in the highest good.
Anything which is not of love, I hereby nullify, neutralize, deactivate, and render completely powerless over me.
I call upon all lights, sounds, colors, beings and energies which are here to bring life and peace.
May we unite for the safety and well- being of all and for the highest good.
So be it.
It didn’t go over well. Several commenters responded negatively to its “toxic positivity”. Some were suspicious that the text looked like a ransom note made from magazine-letter cutouts.
But as a conspirituality researcher, three things stood out for me:
- “Consent”.
- “Agenda”.
- “I hereby nullify”.
